The location of Großenwiehe

Großenwiehe is located in the north of the Schleswig-Hostein district of Schleswig-Flensburg, about 12 kilometres southwest of the city of Flensburg in the Schleswigsche Geest.

Whether you turn off the A7 motorway at Flensburg and take the B 199 towards Sylt or the B 200 towards Husum or Bredstedt, there are always signs pointing to Großenwiehe. It is precisely this central location that makes the municipality on the Schleswigsche Geest so attractive. Großenwiehe has also managed to maintain and expand its intact infrastructure. In the southern district, the municipality fulfils central local functions to a considerable extent.

The districts of Loftlund, Großenwiehe, Wiehekrug, Schobüll, Schobüllhuus, Oxlund and Nordwiehe are located in the municipality.
